Well gosh, don't let winter get you down. Look around, there are plenty of things to do that you let slip when it was nice and you wanted to be outside. Or watch a movie you have been wanting to see. Snap out of it!!
hi there...I bet you're missing your family since you just had that lovely birthday get-together for your sis.... Our local walmart has some soil and fertilizer bags out already...no plants yet, but you can almost see spring around the corner...
If you can stomach it... a tablespoon of Cod Liver oil a day helps - I know... ewwwww, but it works for me. Maybe because it makes me laugh when holding my nose to get it down :-)
OOOOH Susan! Say bye to those winter blues!!!! Just think, the days are getting longer (at least a bit)... spring's a-coming, you have a wonderful family, you are a talented, creative and gifted person and you need to sit down with a pile of beads right now and bead out the blues. If all that doesn't help, look at the unsuspected beauty of the snow in the trees, hanging off the roof, or clinging to flower stems that may be left in the garden. Watch the gorgeous winter sunsets and sunrises. Go outside at night when it's snowing and listen to the snowflakes hit the ground - you really can hear them! Or, as one of my friends says she used to do (but I think it was when she was a hippie) she used to go out in the winter and blow bubbles, you know, soap bubbles, and she said they made an amazing sound when they popped. (sounds a little "suspect" to me, but hey, if it works?)
Keep your chin up, dear Susan! If winter is so hard on, spring is surely just around the corner. As fast as time flies anymore, you just know spring will be here very soon.
And in a few days, I bet I will hear you celebrating all the way to Las Cruces . . .
I guess I had those blues too! I am finally starting to blog again and bead again and more. Trying not to overdo and burn out. Hope you are feeling better by now too.

I've been delinquent in blog-reading, Susan... Are you still feeling blue? Well, me too a little...
Makes me think maybe we both could bead the blues... bead how we feel...
Here's a big beautiful blue hug flying your way... Robin A.

Blow away the winter blues,
buy a pair of springtime shoes,
hold your nose into the sun,
bead an art piece just for fun.
If all that doesn't help, you can
sweetly persuade your man
to have an evening out with you
to shift your mood to pink from blue.
Best wishes,
Sabine
