My very talented friend, Hollie, designed a pattern for an encased, "captured" rivoli. The top photo is the front. It's hard to see, but the rivoli sits in the middle of the donut of crystals, so it looks like it is floating.


I decided to bead the back, rather than leave it open. I just did a loose peyote that looks kind of floral like.


Here is a necklace in cobalt colors. So far, I have made several of these beautiful necklaces because they are so fun and colorful. I'm going to make some summer colors soon.

Long Time Gone



It's been awhile since I've posted. The creative muse has been on vacation, hopefully getting new inspiration. Meanwhile, I've taken a few bead classes. One with the wonderful Cynthia Rutledge, a bracelet called Chain Reaction. The other with Jo Wood, who does beautiful bead embroidery, mainly of landscapes, on wool. Above is my work area for the embroidery class and a photo of the piece I made.
